Mile-High Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg, beaten
    1 1/8 c. milk
Preparation
    Combine dry ingredients
    in mixing bowl.
    Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    Add egg and milk at once; mix until dough
    forms
    a ball.
    Turn dough out on a lightly floured surface and
    knead\t10
    to 12 times.
    Roll out 3/4-inch thick and cut
    with
    a
    2
    1/2-inch cutter.
    Place on ungreased sheet and freeze.
