Fruited Rice Mix - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. uncooked long grain rice
    1 c. chopped dried apples
    1/3 c. golden raisins
    1/3 c. slivered almonds
    1/4 c. instant chicken granules
    3 Tbsp. dried minced onions
    4 1/2 tsp. curry powder
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients and store in airtight container.
    To prepare, combine 1 cup mix with 2 cups water and 2 tablespoons butter or margarine in a saucepan.
    Bring to boil.
    Reduce heat; cover and simmer 25 to 30 minutes or until water is absorbed. Yield:
    About 5 cups dry mix.
    Each cup makes 4 to 6 servings.
