Oatmeal Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. oatmeal
1 c. buttermilk or sour milk
1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Soak for one hour oatmeal and buttermilk or sour milk.
Mix together thoroughly, shortening, brown sugar and egg.
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Stir in alternately with oatmeal-buttermilk mixture.
Bake until golden brown, about 15 to 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
