Sweet Pickle Sticks - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 3/4 c. vinegar
3 Tbsp. salt
4 1/2 tsp. turmeric
3 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation

Use firm, fresh, medium size cucumbers.
Wash and cut into quarters or slices.
Put into container and pour boiling water over them; let set overnight.
Pack solid in jars.
Make pickling solution; boil 5 minutes.
Pour hot over cucumbers and seal. Yields 6 pints (more or less).
