Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. brown sugar
    1 can Eagle Brand milk
    1 c. dark Karo
    1 stick butter
Preparation
    Mix all together in heavy pan or skillet.
    Stir continuously. Test in cold water for chewiness desired.
    Pour into 9-inch square buttered Pyrex.
    Do not scrape pan; put scrapings in another pan, as it makes your caramels too hard in the center. Cut desired size.
