Gluten Stew (Mechado) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. gluten (1 small can scallops or dinner cuts, cut into 1 1/2-inch chunks)
    1 c. (1 small can) tomato sauce
    6 potatoes (regular size), peeled and cut crosswise 1/2-inch thick
    1 small onion, minced, cut in little squares
    1 cinnamon stick
    2 bay leaves
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    3 Tbsp. soy sauce
Preparation
    Place all the ingredients in a pan.
    Add water (2 cups), just covering the mixture.
    Boil for 20 minutes, until the potatoes are cooked and sauce consistency is to your liking.
