Red Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 oz. red food coloring
Preparation
    Add
    vinegar to soda.
    Cream shortening and sugar until light and
    fluffy.
    Add
    eggs,
    one
    at a time.
    Sift together flour, cocoa,
    baking powder and salt.
    Mix milk with vanilla and\tfood coloring.
    Add
    to creamed mixture alternately with dry ingredients.
    Stir\tin
    soda
    and vinegar.\tBake in 9-inch layer cake pans at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
