Grandma Wamsley'S Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. molasses (dark)
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. ginger
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. boiling water
Preparation
-
Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg and molasses.
Stir in flour, spices and soda, alternating with boiling water.
Pour into floured pan.
Bake 50 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Cool 10 minutes.
