Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. sliced squash
    1 qt. onions
    1/2 c. salt
    4 c. vinegar
    5 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Bring vinegar mixture to boil with squash and onions.
    Place in jars and seal.
