Southern Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8-inch pie shell (unbaked)
    1/2 c. margarine
    2/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    dash of salt
    3/4 c. dark corn syrup
    3 eggs, well beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Cream together margarine, brown sugar and salt. Stir in corn syrup, well beaten eggs and vanilla. Turn into pastry. Sprinkle pecan halves over mixture. Bake in 450\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake until firm. Cool before serving.
