Ingredients

1 lb. butter
10 eggs, separated
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. sifted cake flour
1 lb. sugar
Preparation

Cream the butter with vanilla and sugar until very, very fluffy.
Beat egg yolks until thick.
Add to creamed mixture. Beat whites until stiff. Fold in thoroughly.
Now fold in flour and beat vigorously for 15 minutes or longer.
Bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for 1 1/4 hours.
