Baked Beans(To Can) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 lb. beans
    1 1/2 lb. bacon
    1/4 c. salt
    onion (if desired)
    4 1/2 qt. tomato juice
    1 c. molasses
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Soak beans overnight.
    Cook until soft and tender, then drain. Mix altogether and cook a few minutes.
    Add to beans and put in jars.
    Cook in jars 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
    Makes 14 quarts.
