Moors And Christians - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can black beans
    1/4 lb. bacon, cut in small 1/2-inch pieces
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    3/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce
    salt
    3 beef bouillon cubes
    4 c. hot cooked rice
Preparation
    Cook bacon in skillet until lightly browned.
    Remove and drain. Add onion and garlic to skillet and cook until tender.
    Combine onion, garlic, beans, bacon, 2 cups water and remaining ingredients (except rice) in a large saucepan and simmer slowly for 1 1/2 hours or until beans are tender.
    Serve spooned over hot cooked rice with additional chopped onion to taste.
