Okra Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. fresh okra, sliced or 1 lb. frozen okra
    1 (15 oz.) can tomatoes
    1/2 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 bay leaf
    1 Tbsp. Cajun seasoning
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/4 c. oil
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    In heavy skillet, place oil, okra, onions, salt and pepper; lightly brown.
    Add tomatoes with juice, tomato sauce, bay leaf and Cajun seasoning.
    Cover and simmer about 35 minutes.
    Add water as needed.
    Stir every 15 minutes.
    Serve over hot rice.
