Ingredients

2 c. soft butter (do not use oleo or Crisco)
2 c. confectioners sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 (10 oz.) can diced toasted almonds
2 Tbsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a large mixer bowl.
Mix at low speed until dough forms and becomes lighter in color.
Shape into balls, using a rounded teaspoonful for each.
Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 15 to 18 minutes.
Do not brown. Roll warm cookies in confectioners sugar.
