Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
5 eggs, separated
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 c. sifted plain flour
Preparation

Thoroughly cream butter and sugar.
Add egg yolks one at a time and mix well after each egg.
Add baking soda to 1/2 cup buttermilk and mix well.
Add to creamed butter, sugar and eggs. Add flour and rest of buttermilk alternately.
Add vanilla extract and then fold into stiffly beaten egg whites.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours or until done.
