Lentil Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. lentils
    6 c. water
    2 tsp. butter
    1 clove garlic
    1 onion, chopped
    2 tsp. curry powder
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    2 c. chicken stock
Preparation
    Wash lentils thoroughly.
    Put them in a saucepan with the water; cover and cook over low heat 2 hours or until tender.
    Melt butter in a skillet; add garlic and onion; saute 10 minutes.
    Put into saucepan with lentils, curry powder, salt, pepper and chicken stock.
    Cook over low heat 30 minutes.
    Serves 6.
    Each serving contains 125 calories.
