Banana Nut Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    pinch of salt
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. mashed banana
    3 Tbsp. milk
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
Preparation
    Grease a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Beat butter, sugar and egg in a large bowl until fluffy.
    Combine banana and milk in a bowl. Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt onto wax paper.
    Stir into sugar mixture alternately with banana-milk mixture.
    Stir in nuts. Turn into prepared pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until center springs back when lightly pressed with fingertip.
    Cool in pan on wire rack 5 minutes.
    Turn out of pan.
    Cool completely.
    (Can be frozen.)
