Washboard Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c. oatmeal
2 c. fine coconut
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Cream shortening and brown sugar.
Add eggs and beat well.
Add dry ingredients and mix well.
Form into long rolls and refrigerate or freeze until firm.
Slice and bake until golden brown.
