Yellow Squash Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. yellow squash, sliced
    1 egg, beaten
    1/3 c. each flour and corn meal
    1 tsp. salt
    1 medium onion, grated
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cook
    squash in enough boiling water to cover in saucepan
    for 10
    to
    15
    minutes or until tender; drain and mash. Combine
    egg and 1 cup mashed squash.
    Stir into dry ingredients
    in
    bowl. Add
    onion and mix well.
    Drop by tablespoons into shallow hot oil in skillet. Cook and brown on both sides. Drain on paper toweling.
