Creamed Corn(Ala Ruth) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 ears sweet corn
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar (optional)
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    3 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Cut corn off cob to about 3/4 of the ear's depth.
    Remove remaining corn from cobs with a flat blade knife by scraping the cob.
    Yield approximately
    5 cups corn.
    Stir in milk, salt, sugar and pepper until blended.
    Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish and dot with butter.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until corn is tender.
