Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, separated
    3 bananas, mashed
    1 tsp. baking soda
    4 Tbsp. buttermilk
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Cream the butter and sugar.
    Add egg yolks and bananas; mix well.
    Dissolve soda in buttermilk and add to creamed mixture alternately with flour.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Fold into batter.
    Add nuts while folding in egg whites.
    Bake in layers and use any cream filling desired.
