Bacon And Cheese Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. bacon, cooked
    1 medium onion, chopped
    3/4 c. chopped celery
    3 potatoes, peeled and sliced
    1 lb. chopped broccoli
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. dill
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 qt. milk
    1 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
Preparation
    Drain bacon on towel; add to drippings the onions, letting them brown slightly.
    Add celery, potatoes and broccoli. Sprinkle with dill, salt and pepper.
    Pour water over mixture. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
    Stir in milk before soup reaches the boiling; stir in cheese.
    Simmer until melted.
    Serve with crumbled bacon on top.
