Garden Fresh Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. olive oil
    2 onions, thinly sliced
    2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
    2 medium size zucchini, sliced
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 green pepper, seeded and diced
    1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 qt. chicken broth (fresh is best)
    1 1/2 tsp. basil, crushed
    4 oz. small shell macaroni, cooked and drained
Preparation
    Heat oil in heavy kettle.
    Saute onions and garlic until transparent; add zucchini and green pepper.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until lightly browned (around 10 minutes). Add the remaining ingredients, except macaroni; bring to boil. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until vegetables are barely tender.
    Add macaroni and simmer for 4 minutes longer.
    Serves 6.
