Layered Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 can (16 oz.) tomatoes
    1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
    2 cloves garlic crushed or 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    pepper to taste
    1 pkg. (5 oz.) egg noodles, cooked and drained
    1 C. dairy sour cream
    1 pkg. (3 oz.) cream cheese, softened
    6 green onions w/tops chopped
    1 C. grated cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
    Cook meat in large skillet until browned.
    Drain fat.
    Add salt, sugar, tomatoes, tomato sauce, garlic, and pepper; simmer over low heat 5 to 10 min. Combine noodles with sour cream, cream cheese, and green onion. Arrange meat mixture and noodle mixture in alternate layers in a 2 qt. casserole dish. Top with grated cheese.
    Bake 25 min.
