Green Tomato Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. sliced green tomatoes
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3 Tbsp. flour
top and bottom pie shell
juice of 1 lemon
grated rind of 1 lemon
3 Tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Soak tomatoes in boiling water 10 minutes; drain and add half in pie shell.
Mix flour, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Layer on tomatoes.
Add more tomatoes and dry ingredients.
Add juice and peel of lemon and the butter.
Top with dough.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 minutes, then at 375\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
Put pan under pie, as it is very juicy.
