Red Chili Enchilada Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 cloves garlic, minced
2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp. red chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
pinch of ground oregano
dash of ground cumin
1/2 c. tomato sauce
2 c. cold water
Preparation

Saute garlic in hot bacon drippings in a medium saucepan over low heat.
Add flour and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Stir in seasonings.
Gradually add tomato sauce and water; simmer about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Makes about 2 1/2 cups.
