Cheese-Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter
    1/4 c. sliced green onions with tops
    1/4 c. diced green pepper
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 c. milk
    1 (12 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained
    1 c. chicken broth
    1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
    croutons
Preparation
    Microwave butter, uncovered, in 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish on Full power until melted, about 30 seconds.
    Stir in onion. Microwave, uncovered, on Full power until tender, about 2 minutes. Remove from dish; reserve.
    Combine corn muffin mix and caraway seed.
    Prepare according to package directions.
    Spread batter in same buttered baking dish.
    Spread reserved onion over top.
