Cheese And Bacon Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. bacon, fried (reserve 1/3 c. drippings)
    1 egg
    1 c. milk
    1 c. sharp cheese, shredded
    2 c. flour, sifted
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Beat egg slightly; stir in milk the 1/3 cup bacon fat and 1 cup shredded cheese.
    Set aside.
    Sift together the flour, salt, sugar and baking powder.
    Stir into the egg mixture.
    Crumble the fried bacon and add to mixture.
    Spoon into greased muffin tin.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 18 to 20 minutes.
    Makes 12 muffins.
