Brownie Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. flour
    1/4 c. unsweetened cocoa
    1/2 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
    2 eggs
    pinch of salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
    shortening to grease pan
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients except nuts and shortening in a mixing bowl.
    Beat 4 minutes with an electric mixer.
    Stir in nuts. Spread batter in a greased 9-inch pie pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
    Cut into wedges and serve with ice cream and chocolate syrup.
