Never Fail Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 or 3 lb.) chicken
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 egg, beaten
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    5 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Boil chicken and debone.
    Return to broth and let stand.
    Mix flour, shortening, egg and water.
    When soft, roll out in 3 parts. Let sheets of dough dry 20 minutes.
    Cut and drop in boiling broth.
    Cook until tender.
