Toffee Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter or margarine
    1 c. brown sugar, lightly packed
    1 egg yolk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. flour (rounded)
    6 Hershey bars (without almonds)
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Mix first 5 ingredients.
    Spread in a cookie sheet with a rim (spread very thin, about 1/3-inch thick).
    Bake 20 minutes at 300\u00b0.
    Remove from oven and, while hot, cover with 6 Hershey bars (no almonds).
    Spread evenly and cover with chopped pecans.
    Cut into approximately 1-inch squares (diamond design) while still warm.
