Stuffed Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 to 15 large cabbage leaves
    1 medium onion, grated
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 tsp. sugar
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/3 c. uncooked white rice
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. hot pepper flakes (optional)
Preparation
    Immerse cabbage leaves in boiling water until limp.
    Drain and set aside.
    Combine beef, onion, rice, egg, salt and pepper in bowl and mix well.
    Roll meat mixture in cabbage leaves, being careful to fold in sides and tuck in ends.
    Place in slow cooker.
    Stir pepper flakes (if used) and sugar into tomato sauce and pour over cabbage rolls.
    Cover pot and set at low.
    Cook 10 hours or set on automatic and cook 8 hours or until you're ready.
