Zucchini Squash Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 c. chopped coarse ground squash
    4 c. onions, chopped
    2 Tbsp. salt
    2 1/4 c. vinegar (apple cider)
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. celery salt
    1 Tbsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 Tbsp. black pepper
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Mix squash and onions; sprinkle salt and mix well.
    Let stand overnight in cool place.
    Drain and rinse with cool water.
    Place all ingredients in large kettle.
    Bring to boil for 3 to 5 minutes. Cook squash until changes color.
    Put in jars; seal.
    May add red or green peppers for color.
