Shrimp Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 onions, sliced
    1/2 green pepper, sliced
    2 cloves minced garlic
    1/4 c. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
    1 lb. canned or fresh okra
    3 beef bouillon cubes
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    4 tsp. Worcestershire
    1/8 tsp. ground cloves
    1/3 tsp. chili powder
    pinch of sweet basil
    1 bay leaf
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3 c. water
    1/2 to 1 lb. shrimp
Preparation
    Saute onions, green pepper and garlic in butter.
    Blend in flour.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture is bubbly and vegetables are tender.
    Remove from heat.
    Add remaining ingredients except shrimp.
    Simmer 1 to 2 hours.
    Just before serving, add shrimp.
    Simmer 10 minutes.
    Serve gumbo over cooked rice.
    May add Tabasco to gumbo for taste.
