Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. dark Karo syrup
    4 eggs, beaten
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 stick margarine, melted
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
    Mix sugar, eggs and syrup well.
    Add salt, vanilla and melted butter and mix well.
    Fold in pecans last.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 on bottom rack for 5 minutes.
    Turn oven down to 350\u00b0.
    When pie starts to brown, turn oven down to 350\u00b0 and cook until center of pie is firm and done.
