Endive Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head endive
    2 hard-boiled eggs
    3 slices bacon
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    4 tsp. vinegar
    3/4 c. cream
Preparation
    Wash and chop the endive.
    Fry bacon until crisp; remove from drippings; crumble.
    Mix salt, sugar and flour; add vinegar.
    Stir until well blended.
    Cook sauce in 2 tablespoons bacon drippings until thickened, adding cream gradually.
    Pour mixture over endive and mix together lightly.
    Garnish with chopped eggs and crumbled bacon.
