Broccoli Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
    1 medium onion, chopped well
    1 stick butter
    3 cans undiluted cream of mushroom soup
    1 medium can (about 4 oz.) drained mushroom pieces and stems
    3 rolls Kraft garlic cheese
    handful slivered or sliced almonds (not toasted)
Preparation
    In very large pot, heat broccoli (careful not to overcook); drain well.
    Put back in large pot or very large mixing pan. Saute onion in butter until just done, but not burned.
    Add onion mixture to broccoli.
    Then add to mixture all other ingredients.
