Chocolate Chip Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/3 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. margarine or butter, softened
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Grease and flour rectangular baking pan, 13 x 9 x 2-inches.
    Mix sugars, margarine and vanilla.
    Beat in egg.
    Stir in flour, soda and salt.
    Mix in nuts and chocolate chips.
    Spread dough in pan.
    Bake until light brown, 12 to 14 minutes.
    Cool and cut into bars, about 2 x 1 1/2-inches.
    Makes 3 dozen cookies.
    Each cookie contains 90 calories.
