Caramel Popcorn - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick margarine
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. dark Karo syrup
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. soda
8 qt. popped popcorn, lightly salted
Preparation

Bring margarine, sugar, syrup and salt to a boil and cook to 240\u00b0.
If you don't have a candy thermometer, boil a minute or two.
Add soda and vanilla and stir well.
Pour over corn.
Stir well.
Bake at 250\u00b0 for 1 hour in roaster pan greased well with butter, uncovered.
Stir every 15 minutes.
Lay out on cooling board.
When cool, break up in small pieces and store in airtight container.
