Butterscotch Fondue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1 (15 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    water
Preparation
    In saucepan, melt butter.
    Stir in sugar, syrup and 4 tablespoons water.
    Bring to boil.
    Stir in milk; simmer, stirring constantly, until mixture reaches thread stage (230\u00b0) this does not have to be precise.
    Add vanilla and pour into fondue pot or dish for buffet table.
    More water can be added if it thickens.
