Cheery Cherry Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. nut meats, chopped
    1 (6 oz.) glass red maraschino cherries, quartered
    juice from cherries
Preparation
    Beat sugar and eggs together.
    Sift flour, measure, then sift with baking powder and salt.
    Add nuts and cherries.
    Alternately add flour and cherry juice (mix green and red cherries for Christmas bread).
    Bake for 1 hour at 350\u00b0 in a 1-pound loaf pan.
