Mama'S Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. white Karo
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Cook to a firm ball (candy dropped in cold water).
    Pour over 2 beaten egg whites that are beaten until stiff.
    When adding syrup candy to egg whites, pour slowly over the egg whites so you cook them.
    Be sure to use an electric mixer.
    Beat until firm.
    With 2 tablespoons, drop on wax paper.
    Top with a pecan or maraschino cherry.
    This can be colored with a few drops of cake color.
