Ingredients

1 c. Crisco or 1/2 lb. oleo
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
2 c. flour and 2 Tbsp. baking powder, sifted together
1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. vanilla
1 qt. cooked figs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
Preparation

Dough:
Add Crisco, sugar and eggs; beat well.
Add flour and baking powder alternately with milk and vanilla to form dough hard enough to roll.
Use pan 9 x 12-inches and layer with dough. Reserve enough dough for top layer.
