Lemon Pie (Tart) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. hot water
    1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
    juice of 2 large lemons
    2 egg yolks (save whites)
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    4 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients and boil for 10 minutes; mix juice of lemons, egg yolks and cornstarch until smooth.
    Add to water mixture; add butter and stir until thickened.
    Pour into cooled pie shell and top with meringue made from 2 egg whites and 4 tablespoons sugar (beat until stiff peaks form).
    Spread over filling, sealing to crust.
    Brown in 350\u00b0 oven.
