Molasses Crinkles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream the shortening and sugar.
    Add the beaten egg and molasses.
    Sift in the remaining ingredients; mix well.
    Chill. Roll into small balls.
    Dip each in sugar.
    Place on greased pan. Dot with cold water, pressing each down.
    Bake for 12 minutes in the oven at 350\u00b0.
