Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1 medium can crushed tomatoes
    1 small can tomato paste
    2 cans chili beans
    1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
    1 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Brown meat in skillet; drain off grease.
    In a 5-quart pan, add meat, onion, salt, pepper, 1 teaspoon chili powder, tomatoes, tomato paste and sugar.
    Simmer 1 hour on low heat, then add mushrooms, chili beans and rest of chili powder.
    Simmer 15 minutes more.
