Pepper Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large onions, chopped
    12 sweet green peppers, chopped
    12 sweet red peppers, chopped
    3 Tbsp. salt
    2 pt. vinegar
    2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Chop onions and peppers.
    Cover with boiling vinegar.
    Let stand 18 minutes.
    Drain cover with boiling water again and bring to a boil.
    Let stand 10 minutes.
    Drain well and add salt, vinegar and sugar.
    Heat and bring to a boiling point and reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
    Pour into jars and seal at once.
