Candied Apples - cooking recipe

1 tsp. butter
3/4 c. golden King syrup
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. cold water
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix ingredients.
Boil constantly until mixture thickens. Test in cold water.
When mixture tests brittle, add red food coloring.
Turn to low heat and dip apples.
