Donuts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
4 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 to 3 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation

Beat eggs until frothy.
Add sugar and beat well.
Add milk and shortening and mix well.
Sift dry ingredients together and combine with liquid mixture.
Roll out on floured surface to 1/2-inch thickness.
Cut into circles and cut small hole in the middle.
Fry in deep oil at 375\u00b0, turning once when underside is golden in color.
Remove with slotted spoon and roll in granulated sugar.
